The 2022 Open Borders Conference is Almost Here!
The 2022 Open Borders Conference has an incredible international line-up, please join us on Saturday, October 29th, 2022 at 10am (EST). The OBC is honored to have as keynote speakers this year Guerline Jozef and Chandran Kukathas. Guerline Jozef is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Haitian Bridge Alliance (HBA). HBA has played a pivotal role in opposing the disproportionate U.S. deportations of Black immigrants to Haiti, Cameroon, and other African nations, as well bringing international attention to this practice. Chandran Kukathas is a highly regarded political theorist, and Dean of the School of Social Sciences at Singapore Management University. His latest book Immigration and Freedom (2021), argues that restricting migration is a fundamental threat to liberty.
The Open Borders Conference is aldo excited to announce the panels for this year: “Abolishing Surveillance: Resisting Internal and External Borders”, “Resistance as Praxis: Creative Strategies for a Borderless World” and “Open Borders: The Bigger Picture”. For the first time in OBC history, there will also be a healing session titled “Healing in Justice”.
